On 6 October 2026, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Malta, paid a visit to the Central Bank of the Republic of Malta in Valletta, and met with Mr. Alexander Demarco, the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Malta, and Ms. Rita Schembri, the Deputy Governor.

They exchanged views and information on various issues, especially the economy outlook of the two countries, bilateral cooperation, and the upcoming participation of the Governor and Deputy Governor in the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group, which will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, on 12 - 18 October 2026.
