On 14 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Minister of National Economy and Finance of the Hellenic Republic, and the current President of the Eurogroup. They exchanged views and information on various issues, particularly the Greek economy, the economic policies of the Greek government, and the upcoming participation of Minister Pierrakakis in the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group, which will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, in October 2026.

On 7 August 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Athens organised a ceremony to celebrate the 59th ASEAN Day at the Thai Residence. As the current Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Athens (ACAT), H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, delivered the opening remarks. The Ambassador spoke on the formation of ASEAN founded on friendship and cooperation, and emphasised the growing relationship between both ASEAN and the Hellenic Republic and ASEAN and the European Union. H.E. Mr. Dimitris Skalkos, Secretary General for International Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, and Chairman of Enterprise Greece, gave a speech expressing his gratitude at the continually strengthened relationship between ASEAN and the Hellenic Republic and emphasised the importance of building bridges over building walls, especially in a time with many global challenges. High-level guests at the ceremony included the Ambassadors or Chargé d'affaires ad interim of ACAT countries, namely Indonesia, the Philippines and Viet Nam as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic. The event was also attended by the Ambassadors or representatives of Dialogue Partner Countries of ASEAN in Athens including Australia, Canada, the Republic of India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, and Türkiye. At the ceremony, there were cultural performances from Thailand and food stations from each ACAT country to showcase their national cuisines.

On 27 July 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Athens organised a ceremony celebrating the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua 28 July 2026 at the Thai Residence. H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, presided over the ceremony and led the Embassy’s officials and staff, as well as members of the Thai community residing in the Hellenic Republic to pay homage to His Majesty the King, perform the candle-lighting activity and sign the book of well-wishes on behalf of the Thai communities in the Hellenic Republic, the Republic of Malta, and the Republic of Serbia. On this occasion, the Ambassador also led the diplomats to take the oath of allegiance to be good civil servants on the occasion of His Majesty the King’s Birthday.

On 24 July 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Athens organized another Royal Thai Volunteers Project on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King’s Birthday Anniversary 28 July 2026 at the Thai Residence in Athens. H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, along with the Embassy’s officials and staff, provided a lunch of popular Thai dishes, green curry, spring rolls, and cendol, for approximately 60 staff members of Filothéi-Psychiko Municipality as a token of appreciation for their services to the local community. Mr. Elias Angelopoulos, Deputy Mayor of Filothéi - Psychiko Municipality, also attended the event and expressed his appreciation for the Embassy’s initiative.

On 22 July 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Athens organised the Royal Thai Volunteers Project in commemoration of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua. H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, along with staff of the Embassy donated blood at the General Hospital of Athens Korgialeneio - Benakeio (Hellenic Red Cross). On this occasion, the hospital expressed its appreciation for the Embassy’s regular voluntary blood donation and social responsibility to help patients and people in need.
