On 22 October 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Athens organised a wreath-laying ceremony for the Memorial Day of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn at the Ambassador’s Residence. H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, presided over the ceremony and led the Embassy’s officials and staff, as well as Thai nationals residing in the Hellenic Republic to pay homage to His Majesty King Chulalongkorn on behalf of the Thai communities in the Hellenic Republic, the Republic of Malta, and the Republic of Serbia.

H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, presided over the ceremony and led the Embassy’s officials and staff, as well as Thai nationals residing in the Hellenic Republic to pay homage to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great on behalf of the Thai communities in the Hellenic Republic, the Republic of Malta, and the Republic of Serbia.

On 29 September 2024, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, attended the Award and Closing Ceremony of the First Global Challenge 2024 at Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus, Greece. The Ambassador also cheered Thai students who competed in this robotic competition. This year’s First Global Challenge theme is “Feeding the Future” to address the sustainable food production, which is one of the defining challenges in the world today. In each game, students are required to maneuver their robots in a simulated world to transfer water and energy, and produce and store food.

On 26 September 2024, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, was invited to attend the Opening Ceremony of the First Global Challenge 2024, which is a World Student Robotics Competition, at Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, Greece. More than 3,000 students from over 190 countries are expected to participate and showcase their robotic skills in this remarkable event, which takes place from 26 – 29 September 2024. H.E. Mr. Dimitris Papastergiou, Minister of Digital Governance of the Hellenic Republic, and H.E. Mr. Konstantinos Kyranakis, Deputy Minister of Digital Governance of the Hellenic Republic, jointly delivered opening remarks.

On 25 September 2024, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic and current Chairperson of the ASEAN Committee in Athens (ACAT), together with the Ambassadors of Indonesia, the Philippines and Viet Nam, had a fruitful discussion with Mr. Nick Stasinopoulos, Chairman of the Hellenic – ASEAN Business Council (HABC). They exchanged views on the promotion of trade and investment cooperation between ASEAN and Greece, as well as the expansion of collaboration between the ACAT Embassies and HABC.
