On 21 July 2026 H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of Thailand to Greece, as current chair of the ASEAN Committee in Athens (ACAT), chaired the 43rd ACAT meeting at Thai Residence. The meeting was attended by Ambassadors of Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam and followed by a working lunch with H.E. Çağatay Erciyes, Turkish Ambassador to Greece as guest.

On 17 July 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Athens organised a mobile consular unit at the Pontikonisi Hotel in Corfu, Greece, to provide consular services such as passports and legalisation as well as consular consultations. During 17-19 July 2026, the Embassy also organised a networking event with the Thai communty in Corfu at a Thai restaurant as well as visited representatives of the Thai community in Sidari and Patras where they exchanged information about working and living in Greece and discussed the latest developments in consular services.

On 17 July 2026 H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, paid a call on Mr. Stefanos Poulimenos, Mayor of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands. They discussed on cooperation between the Embassy and the Municipality. They also extensively exchanged information and views on various issues particularly on tourism.

On 2 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic and Chairperson of the ASEAN Committee in Athens (ACAT), along with Ambassadors and Chargé d'affaires ad interim of ASEAN countries, paid a joint courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Athanasios Plevris, Minister of Migration and Asylum of the Hellenic Republic. The Meeting exchanged views and information on issues related to migrant workers into Greece from South East Asia. For Thailand, the Ambassador emphasized the priorities of the Embassy that the treatment for workers from Thailand must be fair and in accordance with the contracts. At the same time, the Embassy always urged the Thai workers to follow Greek laws and regulations. Minister Plevris shared with satisfaction that there were only a few problems regarding workers from South East Asia. Greece is therefore willing to receive more legitimate workers from the region and the Ministry of Migration and Asylum is ready to cooperate closely with the ASEAN Embassies. It is predicted that Greece needs about 200,000 foreign workers in the next 5 years.

On 17 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, presided over a Ceremony to Pay Homage and Signing of the Book of Condolences on the Passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita at the Thai Residence in Athens.
