The Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of Her Majesty the Queen's 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 3rd June 2026

On 2 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, presided over a Ceremony in Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of Her Majesty the Queen's 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 3rd June 2026 at the Ambassador's Residence. The ceremony was attended by the Embassy’s officials and staff, as well as the Thai community and their families residing in the Hellenic Republic to pay homage to Her Majesty the Queen, perform the candle-lighting activity and sign the book of well-wishes on behalf of the Thai communities in the Hellenic Republic, the Republic of Malta, and the Republic of Serbia.
ASEAN Committee in Athens Paid a Joint Courtesy Call on the Minister of Migration and Asylum of the Hellenic Republic

On 2 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic and Chairperson of the ASEAN Committee in Athens (ACAT), along with Ambassadors and Chargé d'affaires ad interim of ASEAN countries, paid a joint courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Athanasios Plevris, Minister of Migration and Asylum of the Hellenic Republic.
The Meeting exchanged views and information on issues related to migrant workers into Greece from South East Asia. For Thailand, the Ambassador emphasized the priorities of the Embassy that the treatment for workers from Thailand must be fair and in accordance with the contracts. At the same time, the Embassy always urged the Thai workers to follow Greek laws and regulations.
Minister Plevris shared with satisfaction that there were only a few problems regarding workers from South East Asia. Greece is therefore willing to receive more legitimate workers from the region and the Ministry of Migration and Asylum is ready to cooperate closely with the ASEAN Embassies. It is predicted that Greece needs about 200,000 foreign workers in the next 5 years.

On 17 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, presided over a Ceremony to Pay Homage and Signing of the Book of Condolences on the Passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita at the Thai Residence in Athens.
42nd Meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Athens

On 16 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of Thailand to Greece, attended the 42nd Meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Athens (ACAT) chaired by the Philippine Ambassador, current chair of ACAT. On this occasion, the Philippine Ambassador handed over the Chairpersonship of the ACAT to Ambassador of Thailand who will be the chair between July - December 2026.
ACAT, comprising of the Embassies of Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam in Athens, was established to promote ASEAN and its cooperation with Greece.
The Royal Thai Volunteers Project on the Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of Her Majesty the Queen's 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 3rd June 2026

On 8 June 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Athens organised the Royal Thai Volunteers Project on the Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of Her Majesty the Queen's 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 3rd June 2026. H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, along with the Embassy’s officials and staff, hosted a luncheon for approximately 50 students and staff members at Xatzikyriakou Child Protection Foundation in Piraeus, cooking and catering popular Thai dishes and desserts from the Thai Residence.
The Ambassador met with Mr. Georgios Dimitriou, Chairman of the Board of Directors, as well as the Foundation’s board members, members of the Ladies’ Committee, and other executives. The Foundation expressed its appreciation to the Embassy for hosting a Volunteers Project luncheon for the third year in a row, which provided an opportunity for the Foundation’s students to know about Thailand and experience Thai cuisine. Both sides exchanged views on child protection in Greece and agreed to continue to promote further cooperation in the future. The Ambassador also had the opportunity to visit the recently renovated orphanage building which was reopened this year.
The Embassy’s Mobile Consular Unit in Serbia

On 10 June 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Athens organised a mobile consular unit at the Royal Thai Honorary Consulate in the Republic of Serbia to provide consular services such as passports, legalisation, birth registration as well as consular consultations.
The Embassy also organised a networking event at a Thai restaurant among Thai nationals residing in Serbia where they discussed life in Serbia and latest developments in consular services.

On 16 June 2026, H.E.
