On 9 March 2024, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, attended the opening ceremony of the Food Expo 2024, at the Metropolitan Exhibition Center, Athens. The opening ceremony was hosted by Mr. Dionysis Stamenitis, the Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food of the Hellenic Republic. The Thai Ambassador also gave an interview to Foodexpo TV live about Thai cuisine and quality food products from Thailand.

On 6 March 2024, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, had a productive meeting with Ms. Sofia Kounenaki Efraimoglou, President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Ms. Eleni Foti, Director of International Commercial Relation. Both sides exchanged views on the business opportunities between Thailand and the Hellenic Republic and agreed to work together to further enhance two-way trade, business partnership and investment cooperation. In May 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy, the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises, Enterprise Greece and the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry plan to co-organise an information session on Thailand’s business ecosystem and opportunities for the Greek business community. Moreover, the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry wishes to create a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Thai Chamber of Commerce to promote greater cooperation between Greek and Thai business communities.

On 29 February 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Athens organised a Seminar on Basic Laws and Regulations for Thai Nationals Residing in Malta at Pad Thai Kitchen Swieqi and via the Embassy’s Facebook Live Streaming. The objective was to provide information on the basic rights, benefits and obligations of foreigners residing in Malta, as well as employment and family laws, all of which directly affect the life and career of Thai nationals in Malta. The seminar featured Dr. Natalino Caruana De Brincat and Ms. Lara Attard, as the guest lecturers. In this regard, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, delivered an opening remark via video message.

During 27-28 February 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Athens organised a mobile consular unit at the Royal Thai Honorary Consulate in the Republic of Malta to provide consular services such as passports, legalisation, birth registration as well as consular consultations to Thai nationals residing in Malta.

On 14 February 2024, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, visited the Dusit Suites Athens in Glyfada which is the first 5-star hotel in Greece and Europe under Thailand’s Dusit International’s franchise. The Ambassador had a fruitful discussion with Mr. Panagiotis Mertekis, General Manager of the Dusit Suites Athens, and exchanged views on the possible joint activities to promote Thai hotel brands and Thai culture in Greece. The Ambassador also met with Thai staff who works at the hotel.
