On 20 April 2024, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, along with other ASEAN Ambassadors, presided over the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Plus Bazaar, at the Hellenic Foundation for Culture in Psychiko, Athens. The ceremony was attended by the Director of A9 Directorate for Asia & Oceania, Mayor of Psychiko and Mayor of Salamina.

The ASEAN Committee in Athens, in collaboration with the "Friends of the Child" Foundation, organized the ASEAN Plus Bazaar for the second consecutive year to raise public awareness about ASEAN and to promote culture, food and national products from ASEAN countries and ASEAN Dialogue Partners. This year, the Embassies of Japan, South Korea, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the Consulate of Malaysia also participated in the Bazaar. The proceeds from this event will be donated to Friends of the Child to support the children in need in the society.

The Royal Thai Embassy with active participation from the Thai Association and Meditation in Greece, Blue dragon Muaythai Nea Smyrni and Salamat Asian Food Store has showcased Thailand’s soft power, including Thai food, snacks, Thai massage, Muay Thai and traditional performances to Greeks and foreign visitors.

The ASEAN Plus Bazaar will continue on Sunday 21 April 2024 from 12.00-18.00 hrs. at the Hellenic Foundation for Culture, Str. Kallari 50, 15452, Psychiko.
