Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic met with the New Director of the A9 Directorate for Asia and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic

On 30 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, and the Chairperson of the ASEAN Committee in Athens, had a meeting with the new Director of the A9 Directorate for Asia and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, Ambassador Emmanouil Apostolakis.

They exchanged views and information on various matters related to the promotion of bilateral relations between Thailand and Greece, the cooperation between Thailand and the European Union, and the interactions between ASEAN and Greece.

The Thai Ambassador shared the Thai government’s policies and efforts, including the latest situation between Thailand and Cambodia, and preparations to host the 2026 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Bangkok in October 2026.

The Greek side will host the inaugural meeting under the framework of Bilateral Consultations between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs in the near future. Greece will be the President of the United Nations Security Council for the month of October 2026, and Thailand is ready to support Greece's efforts which benefit the international community, including maritime security and freedom of navigation.
