Songkran Festival or traditional Thai New Year Festival is celebrated during 13 – 15 April every year. On 6 December 2023, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) inscribed “Songkran in Thailand, traditional Thai New Year festival” on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The inscription marks another proud moment for all Thai people.
