On 30 April 2025, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kasemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, attended the Songkran activity organised by the Thai Association and Meditation in Greece at Wat Thai Krung Athens Wanaram. To observe the Songkran (or Thai New Year) tradition, the Ambassador, along with Thai nationals residing in Greece, performed meritorious deeds, offered alms to the monk, sprinkled the scented water to the Buddha statue, as well as participated in the ceremony to pour water to the elders. The Thai Association and Meditation in Greece organises Songkran activities on a yearly basis and has been cooperating with the Royal Thai Embassy in Athens in raising awareness of and promoting Thai culture and traditions in Greece.
