Seminar on Basic Laws and Regulations for Thai Nationals Residing in Malta

On 29 February 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Athens organised a Seminar on Basic Laws and Regulations for Thai Nationals Residing in Malta at Pad Thai Kitchen Swieqi and via the Embassy’s Facebook Live Streaming. The objective was to provide information on the basic rights, benefits and obligations of foreigners residing in Malta, as well as employment and family laws, all of which directly affect the life and career of Thai nationals in Malta. The seminar featured Dr. Natalino Caruana De Brincat and Ms. Lara Attard, as the guest lecturers. In this regard, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, delivered an opening remark via video message.

After the seminar, the Embassy hosted a luncheon for all the participants. Dr. Francis Carbonaro, Honorary Consul of Thailand to the Republic of Malta, was also present at the event and had a discussion with the Thai community.

The Embassy has organised a series of seminars to provide useful information for Thai communities in its jurisdictions to empower and promote their potentials so that they can live a good life with dignity in an overseas environment. The Seminars on Basic Laws and Regulations and on Business-related Laws and Regulations for Thai Nationals Residing in Greece were successfully organised in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
