               On 9th Feb. 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy in Athens participated in the 7thInternational Gastronomy Forum 2014 in Athens, for the third year in a row. Authentic and exotic Thai appetizer and sweet, namely 1) Kra-tong-thong (Crispy Golden Cups with minced chicken and sweet corn) 2) Chor-Muang (Steam dumpling with minced pork) 3) Ka-nom-pang-na-mu (Fried bread with minced pork spread) and 4) Yok-Manee (Pandanus tapioca pearls sweet) were beautifully presented to the public. The visitors had the chance to taste and were amazed with the mouthwatering as well as the taste of texture of the said Thai dishes. Decoration items of lovely ceramic dolls in various acts of Thai Boxing, Thai dancing dolls and vegetable and fruit carving were placed on display. Thailand tourism brochures and recipes of the four displayed Thai dishes were also handed to the prospective tourists and Thai food lovers.

               The objective of joining this event is not only to promote Thai cuisine andThai tourism but also to show Thai culture and to reflect the cordial bond of friendship happily existing between the peoples of Thailand and Greece.  Moreover, the Embassy showcases the Thai cuisine side by side with that of the Embassy of Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines as a manifestation and spirit of ASEAN solidarity in Greece.
