On 14 December 2022 H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, and H.E. Mr. Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, signed the Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of the Hellenic Republic on Exemption from Visa Requirement for Holders of Valid Diplomatic Passports during the 45th ASEAN-EU Commemorative Summit in Brussels, the Kingdom of Belgium. The ceremony was witnessed by H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand and H.E. Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic.

The visa exemption agreement for Thai diplomatic passport holders will help facilitate diplomatic passport holders in the task of promoting bilateral relations, including exchange of visits and increased cooperation between the two countries.

The signing of the Agreement is deemed as a success after 24 years of negotiation and provides a good opportunity to enhance more bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
